The fast-paced nature of the games, combined with skillful plays and strong competition, created an electric atmosphere for players and supporters alike. Each team showed determination and sportsmanship, contributing to the overall success of the day.
However, it was Dream Chasers who truly stole the spotlight. Playing with confidence, structure, and high intensity, they dominated the tournament and won all their games. Their performance on the court showcased excellent teamwork, sharp decision-making, and impressive individual talent. Whether on offense or defense, Dream Chasers proved to be a level above the competition, leaving a strong statement in their debut event.
Head coach Mr Tshego Malatji could not hide his pride after the tournament. He praised his players not only for their victories but for the resilience and dedication they displayed throughout the day. According to Coach Malatji, the boys showed great character, working hard for each other and maintaining focus under pressure. Their commitment to improving and their passion for the game were clearly evident in every match they played.

Beyond the competition, the event also highlighted the importance of community support in developing young athletes. In a generous and meaningful gesture, The Pitch Post presented Dream Chasers with a brand-new basketball kit. This contribution is part of their ongoing effort to support local community clubs and uplift grassroots sport. The new kit serves as both motivation and recognition of the team’s hard work and potential.
The participation of Solomondale Pacers and Pax College added depth and competitiveness to the tournament. Their presence ensured quality matchups and helped create a platform for players to test their abilities against different styles of play. The spirit of unity and respect among the teams was evident throughout the event.
